Now I don’t know what the political structure in 2018 will be but if the political force headed by me wins in the upcoming elections. I will play my role in the issue of the security of our people in some status depending on the situation, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said in his speech before the Artsakh servicemen and their families in Artsakh Saturday.

“I am constantly asked what I will do after 2018. During my life I have indeed never planned where my next stop will be. I always appeared where I was fitter for our security.  Now I don’t know what the political structure in 2018 will be but if the political force headed by me wins in the upcoming elections. I will play my role in the issue of the security of our people in some status depending on the situation. I don’t know what situation that will be but I will definitely be useful in some format,” he stressed.

According to Sargsyan, Armenia has a more important task now. “We should understand that April 2 is not a game and a competition of false tongue-twisters. We should understand that on April 2 we are not electing those who can jump well on our roofs but defenders of our people’s right to existence. We are electing those who will order volley, attack and, if needed, retreat. We are electing those who will have enough internal force to do that.

We are electing those under whose commandment these boys will end their service and the next generation will serve, those who will defend our children’s right to tranquil education and the sunset of our old.  Regardless of whether we realize this [now], we are obliged to do that when approaching the ballot box.”
