Azerbaijan must recognize the complete fulfillment of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) people’s right to self-determination.

National Assembly (NA) of Armenia Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov, who also heads the NA delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA), on Sunday stated the above-said in his remarks at the CSTO PA Council meeting in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

“Azerbaijan resorted to military adventurism at the state border of the Republic of Armenia,” Sharmazanov noted, in particular. “Such demeanor is impermissible and condemnable.

“The CSTO has officially condemned this [military] diversion in December [2016], defining Azerbaijan’s actions as ‘provocative.’

“Such demeanor of Azerbaijan is a provocation not only against Armenia, but the CSTO.

“Our parliamentary delegation stands for solely a pacific settlement of conflicts in the CSTO responsibility zone, especially in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
