YEREVAN. – Sometimes one of the leaders says about possibility of war in Nagorno-Karabakh for political reasons, U.S. co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassador Richard Hoagland told reporters.
In this case the opposite side says “we will fight, too”, the diplomat explained when asked whether Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev assured them that the situation would not escalate this April.
The Minsk Group Co-Chair added that the statements should remain words, and not turn into actions. This is what the co-chairs are trying to do when seeking peaceful solution to the conflict, he added.
