Germany counts on Turkey in fight against terrorism, despite the current disagreements, Germany's head of the German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Hans-Georg Maassen told Die Welt am Sonntag

Maassen noted that Turkish intelligence agencies are important partner when it comes to Syria, Iraq, as well as the movements of the European Islamists to this region and back. Besides Turkey, according to him, is an important partner with regard to the terrorist organization of Kurdistan Workers' Party banned in Germany, Inopress reported.

At the same time Maassen paid attention to the fact that German authorities very clearly feel that Turkish intelligence MIT operating in Germany is violating its authority.
