YEREVAN. - We do know what is going on, U.S. co-chair of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, Ambassador Richard Hoagland told reporters on Monday, answering the question on that the statements of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs have no specific addressees.

“We do know what happens but because we are international mediators, we have to keep a little degree of distance so that we do not overly offend one side or the other. Because when that happens then the possibility for the discussion and mediation gets closed down. And we cannot allow those doors to close; we have to keep the doors open. We will always note when there is an issue that needs to be called attention to but we have to be a little bit careful in what we say in public, even though we know behind those close doors what is really happening,” the American diplomat concluded.
