YEREVAN. – A total of 72 percent of Armenia’s population has a positive attitude toward the work done by the government of Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, who is also first deputy chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) General Director Valery Fedorov on Tuesday stated about the aforementioned at a press conference in capital city Yerevan, as he presented the results of the latest survey which VCIOM conducted in Armenia, during the campaign season ahead of Sunday’s parliamentary election in the country.

As per Fedorov, survey results show that even though the residents of Armenia are unhappy with the present-day situation and the pace of economic development in the country, Karapetyan has a positive image among them, and this has the greatest impact on the standing of the RPA.

According to the VCIOM director, the majority of respondents make a decision based on the personal qualities of the candidates, and they see Karen Karapetyan as a young reformer.

The latest survey was conducted from March 17 to 24, and among 1,600 respondents.
