The Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern will send an explanatory e-mail to the European Commission about the country’s decision to withdraw from the EU program of refugee relocation, Lenta reports.

After the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the head of Austria's government announced, that Austria was obliged to accept about two thousand asylum seekers from Greece and Italy, but would withdraw from it, since they consider they have already fulfilled this obligation because of the flow of illegal immigrants.

"We believe that there should be exception for Austria," said Kern.
