YEREVAN. – “Seeing that we will win [in Sunday’s parliamentary election], my associates have called me within these five days saying, ‘We are ready to invest $15 billion in Armenia.”’

Opposition Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman and businessman MP Gagik Tsarukyan, who heads Tsarukyan Bloc for the forthcoming National Assembly election in the country, on Tuesday stated the aforesaid before his supporters during the concluding assembly, reported Zhamanak (Time) newspaper.

“According to our information, Tsarukyan was promised that this money will be invested in Armenia by the Dubai and Qatar sheikhs, with whom he has a long-standing friendly relationship and multimillion-[dollar] businesses in these countries.

“According to our information, they are not ordinary affluent people, but billionaire senior officials in these countries,” wrote Zhamanak.
