At least seven settlements were destroyed as a result of an earthquake in the northeast of Iran, TASS reported quoting Tasnim.

An earthquake measuring 6.1 struck an area near the city of Mashhad in Iran’s northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi on Wednesday. According to initial reports, the quake has killed two people and injured seven others. Five aftershocks, including a 4.7-magnitute quake hit Mashhad.
