The Turkish court has acquitted Rifat Çetin, who compared Turkish President Recept Tayyip Erdoğan to Lord of the Rings character Gollum, Gazeta  reports, citing T24.

Earlier, Çetin was only narrowly spared jail and has been stripped of his parental custody rights after remarking on social media of the likeness between the Turkish leader and the fictional film character.
