UN is concerned about the mass arrests and sackings in Turkey, which started in the country after the failed coup attempt in July 2016.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra'adAl Hussein, said the aforementioned during a briefing in Geneva, TASS reports, citing Reuters.

"With such a large number, it is highly unlikely that the suspensions and detentions will have met due process standards," he noted.
