YEREVAN. – The U.S. will allocate $ 1.44 million to Armenia for development of the energy sector. The draft of the relevant agreement was approved at a meeting of the Armenian government on Thursday.

The funds are being allocated by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the program of development of competitiveness in private sector. Within the framework of the programs, the Government of Armenia has already received $ 61.1 million.
