Former Brazilian President Dilma Russeff, who resigned after impeachment in the summer of 2016, has demanded to return her presidential post.

Rousseff’s statement comes after a group of deputies demanded to begin impeachment of incumbent president Michel Temer amid allegation of his involvement in corruption scandal.
Rousseff's legal defender has filed a petition in the Supreme Court of the country. Rousseff's lawyer Jose Eduardo Cardozo pointed in the petition that the country is in a serious political crisis, adding that the current president of the country is illegitimate and cannot fulfill his obligations.
