Russia and China stand for measures which would impede the North Korea's nuclear program, but would not block the possibility of a political settlement of the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula, RIA Novosti reported quoting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
According to the FM, the sides discussed the situation on the Korean peninsula, confirmed their position of strict observance of the UN Security Council resolutions by all parties involved.
“Russia and China firmly support the complete denuclearization of this peninsula,” the Russian Foreign Minister said at a press conference with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
