YEREVAN. - State Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia will propose to exempt tourist buses from duties on the border.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Mekhak Apresyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am on Friday during the open house of the Committee.

He recalled that tourist buses pay duties for irregular interstate transportations (regular transporters pay a lump sum in other regime). Non-registered passenger buses and microbuses also pay this duty during each border crossing, but it would be good to make exclusion for tourist buses, Apresyan added.

“Then, of course, it will be necessary to understand how to distinguish tourist buses from the rest. One of the options is their qualification, which already operates in a voluntary regime. We will discuss other proposals as well,” he added.
