YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan along with First Lady Rita Sargsyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II attended the solemn event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund on Friday.

The ceremony held in Komitas Chamber Music House of Yerevan was attended by current and former presidents of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arkadi Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan, as well as dozens of fund donors.

During the ceremony, Executive Director of the fund, Ara Vardanyan, noted that over 25 years of work, the fund has repaired and built dozens of kilometers of roads, including the Artsakh and Goris-Stepanakert motorways. Apart from this, another motorway—Vardenis-Martakert—is under construction. Dozens of kilometers of water pipes, hospitals, schools and greenhouses have been built as well.

“Once Catholicos Vazgen I addressed the people with the following words: “Let no one be ashamed if his contribution is small. The sea is filled with drops.” These words have not lost their meaning up to now,” Vardanyan said.
