YEREVAN. - Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Monday received Managing Director of German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Michael Harms.

The Committee represents leading business associations of the German economy.

PM Karaptyan noted that Germany is an important partner for Armenia, and the latter is interested in developing bilateral relations in different spheres. According to him, the Armenian Government is implementing reforms aimed at improving the business climate and creating favorable conditions for foreign investments. The PM also expressed readiness to discuss any mutually beneficial initiative aimed at intensifying the trade and economic relations.

Michael Harms, for his part, welcomed the steps of the Government aimed at improving the business climate and expressed willingness to contribute to the deepening of Armenian-German cooperation in the economic sphere, using all the possible platforms.

Apart from this, the interlocutors exchanged ideas on the prospects for the joint programs in the sphere of energy, mining, agriculture, tourism, infrastructures, etc.

Karen Karapetyan instructed those responsible to provide the German side with information on the existing investment program package and be consistent in receiving feedback.
