Five Russian diplomats have been declared personae non grata in Moldova, realitatea.md reports. Their names are not yet announced.
According to the information of NM portal, one of them is the assistant to Russian military attaché in Moldova, Alexander Grudin, who was engaged in the espionage and high treason case of former deputy of Democratic Party Yuri Bolbochanu.
Russian Ambassador to Moldova, Farit Mukhametshin, stated that the note was received by the diplomatic representation after lunch on Monday. “The document is being studied. We cannot yet give any comments,” he noted.
Bolbochanu was detained on March 17, during a covert meeting with a foreign citizen “under the guise of an officer,” who worked for foreign intelligence.
