The Soviet “Kalashnikov” automatic rifles, which are in the arsenal of the Georgian army, will be replaced by American ones, Georgia Online reported citing the ministry of defense of the country.

Accordingly, the capabilities of the US-made M240 machine gun will be displayed Tuesday, at the rifle range of the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Assessment Center.

Georgian Minister of Defense Levan Izoria, and US Ambassador Ian Kelly also will be on hand at this event.
