YEREVAN. – Armenia is ready to support all projects related to ensuring the security of energy transit, Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan said in Ashgabat on  Tuesday.

Harutyunyan is attending International Energy Charter Forum, entitled “Towards a Multilateral Framework Agreement on Transit of Energy Resources,”  special correspondent of Armenian News - NEWS.am  informs from  the capital city of Turkmenistan.

He urged to focus on the idea that access to energy is not a privilege, but a fundamental human right.

“Modern access to energy is still a problem in many parts of the world. It is necessary to diversify the transit of energy resources. And all projects related to energy resources should include the security of transit of energy supplies,”Harutyunyan said.

The deputy minister stressed that Armenia is ready to work in partnership with all world countries on providing transit of gas and electricity.

“Now we are working on creation of a corridor between Iran, Georgia, Armenia and Russia,” Hayk Harutyunyan added.
