YEREVAN. – The “Survey for Seismic Protection” Agency of Armenia recorded a magnitude-4.4 earthquake on Friday, at 10:15am local time.
The epicenter of this tremor was in Azerbaijan, 60km northeast of Mingachevir town.
The hypocenter of the quake was 12km beneath the surface.
The seismic activity measured magnitude 5-6, at the epicenter.
The earthquake was felt also in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR); it measured magnitude 3 in capital city Stepanakert.
