An Ankara court ordered the arrest of the son-in-law of former Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç after police detained him as a part of the ongoing investigation into the faith-based Gülen movement, accused of being behind the failed July 2016 coup attempt, Cumhuriyet reported.
Ekrem Yeter was detained at his residence and later referred to the prosecutor’s office to testify.
However, he was arrested on charges of "being a member of terror organization."
Arınç had earlier said that he believed Yeter had no connection with the organization.
