The local Self-government Council of Valencia city of Spain on Friday passed a resolution recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian Embassy in Spain informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.
Coalició Compromís, València en Comú and Socialist party voted for the resolution introduced by Armenian Union Ararat. They thus condemned the first genocide of the 20th century and urged the Valencia parliament, Spanish government, as well as Turkey to follow their example.
