YEREVAN. – A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia and the Institute of Standards & Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) was signed Wednesday in Tehran. 

The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, Emil Tarasyan, and ISIRI Vice President M. Moghaddam, the ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This memorandum envisions development and expansion of cooperation between the two agencies, especially in halal food—food that is permissible according to Islamic law, and non-alcoholic beverages. 

Also on the same day, Tarasyan had a talk at the Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, where the interlocutors discussed matters of mutual interest.
