According to Azat Hayrenik (Free Homeland) Party of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Karabakh/Artsakh), in case of a new war, the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia should immediately put the issue of recognizing the independence of Artsakh on its agenda.
Leader of Hayrenik faction of the Artsakh NA, Artur Tovmasyan, told the aforementioned to Artsakhpress within the framework of the 3rd Forum of Armenian Parties.
“In case of a large-scale war launched by Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenian will become the guarantor of the security of Artsakh people by signing a military and political convention,” Tovmasyan said, adding that the issue is on the agenda of the forum.
Referring to the inter-parliamentary relations between Artsakh and Armenia, Tovmasyan noted that they are on a practical level, such forums enabling to ascertain all the views on the existing issues and find efficient solutions.
