YEREVAN. - Armenia should think whether time has not come to prepare the legislative framework for the liberalization of visa regime with the European Union, Head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski told reporters on Tuesday.

The Ambassador noted that he understands that this issue, which is very important for all Armenians, is still on the agenda.

According to Świtalski, the experience of Ukraine and Georgia shows that the liberalization of visa regime requires very serious agreements. In case of Armenia, many people use the word “patience,” while this should be an expression of sincere interest, he added. Armenia should draft laws and introduce relevant procedures if it thinks about the liberalization of visa regime, the Ambassador concluded.
