YEREVAN. – The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) of Armenia has an important role in creation of an appealing investment climate in the country.
US Ambassador Richard Mills noted the aforementioned at Wednesday’s discussion between the commission and the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham).
The objective of this talk was to confer on the American investment companies’ challenges, concerns, and recommendations regarding the respective competitive field in Armenia, the SCPEC informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his remarks at the event, Ambassador Mills also noted that they encourage the commission to promote relevant transparency in the country.
AmCham President Ara Hovsepyan, for his part, noted that the chamber underscores free competition, equitable application of laws, and development of entrepreneurship in Armenia.
SCPEC Chairman Artak Shaboyan, in turn, expressed confidence that continued cooperation will lead to a comprehensive resolution of existing problems and a more favorable competitive climate in Armenia.
