British PM Theresa May considers that offers on the status of citizens of the EU in the UK after Brexit are very serious and fair, Reuters reported.

As it was noted earlier, May suggested to grant residence permit to citizens of the EU who have lived in the UK for at least 5 years.

She informed that the detailed offer will be submitted to the government on Monday.

May noted that she wanted to assure all EU citizens who live in the UK that none of them would face the need to leave the country, as they did not want to separate families. The PM also added that that she wanted the same guarantees for the Britons living in EU countries.
