YEREVAN. – Indonesia’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Yuddy Chrisnandi, whose diplomatic residence is in the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv, on Friday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

First, the President congratulated the ambassador on the assumption of this office and wished him success, the press office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to Indonesia’s role in Southeast Asia, and it stands ready to deepen state relations with this country. 

Ambassador Chrisnandi, for his part, stated that it is a great honor for him to be an ambassador in Armenia, and that by studying its ancient history, a great respect surfaces toward the Armenian people.

The interlocutors shared the view that the long geographical distance between Armenia and Indonesia cannot be an obstacle before the development of their cooperation.

Also, the President and the ambassador reflected on Armenia-Indonesia collaboration within international organizations, regional matters and challenges, and the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) peace process.
