YEREVAN. – Israel had offered Armenia to buy weapons from it, but Yerevan had turned down this offer, Israeli Knesset (parliament) former member Alexander Tsinker said at a press conference on Monday.

In his words, Israel is among the top five countries that supply the most military weapons and equipment.

“At the time, Armenia also was offered to buy some [Israeli-made] weapons,” Tsinker noted. “[But] in response to this, the former defense minister of Armenia said, ‘It’s expensive and it’s not beneficial to us.’ For this reason, as they say, the ball is on Armenia’s court. [But] please, we’re always open [to supplying Armenia with arms].”

As for Israel supplying weapons to Azerbaijan, the Israeli ex-MP said: “I believe your strategic partner, Russia, supplies more weapons to Azerbaijan.”
