YEREVAN. – I don’t count other people’s money, said State Revenue Committee (SRC) Chairman Vardan Harutyunyan, on Tuesday speaking to reporters at the National Assembly of Armenia.

He disagreed with the argument that tax inspections in the country are fake and that those in power do not “move their hands” away from businesses.

“How have the officials [in Armenia] become rich? How would I know?” noted Harutyunyan. “We [the SRC] conduct inspections according to the law; and there is no difference for us as to who is engaged in business, and what [business]. If we are inspecting the big business [in the country], there is no need to seek a political tone there.”
