YEREVAN. - Armenia has only 79 irrigation water counters, whereas 2,100 are needed.

Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management of Armenia, Arsen Harutyunyan, stated the aforementioned at the Armenian National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday, speaking at the discussion of the report on performance of 2016 Armenian State Budget.

The installation of the counters in the node points of irrigation network will help better consider the losses of irrigation water according to subscribers, he added.

To acquire the aforementioned counters, the State Committee will turn to donor organizations.
