YEREVAN. – The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Vigen Sargsyan, has a negative outlook on weapons’ supplies to Azerbaijan.

Sargsyan informed about the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday, when asked to comment on Baku’s recent statement with respect to Russian arms supply to Azerbaijan.

Also, he noted that Azerbaijan is such an unpredictable country that the supply of weaponry to it is fraught with serious dangers, and that it is impossible to foresee who will decide what to do.

As for Armenia-Russia cooperation, the minister said the Armenian side is pleased with the implementation of this program.

“It’s an ambitious program,” he stated adding that there are wide range of matters being discussed in the bilateral format.

“We [Armenia] get weapons from Russia; we acquire [them] at the RF [Russian Federation] domestic prices,” Vigen Sargsyan stated. “It’s an important market to us.”
