YEREVAN. – A large-scale war will not solve the Karabakh conflict, Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan said at a press conference on Wednesday.

“When I say that the adversary is unpredictable, I mean just this,” the minister said.

According to him, in the country where there is no democratic public supervision, a reason invisible to an external observer can become the reason for beginning of hostilities.

“I am almost sure that there should be no large-scale war, because the Karabakh conflict cannot have military solution in favor of Azerbaijan,” the minister stressed.

At the same time, he recalled that such developments conceal a serious threat that Azerbaijan will suffer irreparable damage, adding that Armenia will also have losses.

According to him, lack of large-scale war does not exclude various incidents and provocations.
