YEREVAN. – Official opening of the public beaches on the shore of Armenia’s Lake Sevan will take place on Saturday, and Nature Protection Minister Artsvik Minasyan also will be on hand at this event. 

Ashot Avalyan, the minister’s deputy chief of staff and person in charge of the public beaches, stated the aforesaid on Thursday. 

In his words, however, services will be provided at solely three of these eleven public beaches, whereas the remaining eight beaches are intended for short recreation.

Avalyan stressed, however, that there will be four to five lifeguards at each public beach. 

He added that nine hectares are planned to be allocated for the preparation of another public beach, whose opening is slated for next year.
