YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday received Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia.

The President welcomed the guest, attaching importance to his visit to Armenia and the business conference held within its framework, which, according to Sargsyan, will give a new impetus to the further development of bilateral trade and economic ties.

The interlocutors agreed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 25 years ago, the high-level cooperation formed between Armenia and Georgia in political, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as the good-neighborly relations between the two peoples are a solid basis for the further deepening and strengthening of interstate ties.

The Armenian President and Georgian minister also discussed the opportunities for the development of bilateral trade and economic relations and implementation of joint programs in a number of spheres. Both sides underscored the importance of mutual support in entering markets of third countries and implementing joint export programs.

Apart from this, the sides agreed that being involved in different integration processes, Armenia and Georgia have high potential for developing cooperation also within the framework of those processes.
