YEREVAN. –Member of Sasna Tsrer armed group Sergey Kyureghyan has been returned to the courtroom after another recess.

Disrespect for court was the cause of sanctions: the defendants did not stand up when the secretary announced “All rise, court is now in sesssion.” Despite the warning, the defendants did not rise again.  The judge applied sanctions again.

As a result the judge removed all defendants from the courtroom, except for Aram Manukyan and Sergey Kyureghyan. The session was interrupted for 10 minutes.

The Sasna Tsrer armed group took over of a police patrol regiment building in Yerevan, took hostages, but later surrendered, in July 2016.
