YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has already expressed its view in connection with the fact that the Azerbaijanis are exploiting a child’s death, and what needs to be done in this regard is being done, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Thursday told reporters at parliament.

When asked whether the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs’ talk—which is slated for this month—may be put off due to Tuesday’s provocation by Azerbaijan, Nalbandian responded: “Armenia has never declined from meetings, both at the highest and the FMs’ level. As I said a few days ago, it’s not ruled out that a meeting at the level of the FMs be [held] in July.“The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs shall react, and they reacted to these incidents.

We had spoken in this connection with both the three co-chairs and [Ambassador] Andrzej Kasprzyk [the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office].”

On Tuesday evening, the Azerbaijani forces, which are located nearby Alkhanlu village, fired shells on positions of Karabakh Defense Army. A 52-year-old Azerbaijani woman and a 2-year-old girl died in the ensuing exchange of fire, and Azerbaijan publicized the photos of these victims.
