The hailstorm, which hit Ninotsminda town of Georgia’s Javakheti province, has almost wiped out the entire harvest.

Ninotsminda resident Armen Saryan told Armenian News – that the hail hit the province about half an hour ago: mainly crops, potato and fruit trees have been damaged.

“The hail was very large and lasted for a long time. We mainly sow barley, wheat and potato, since the weather is cold there. The harvest had already begun to mature but it didn’t manage to,” he said.

The hail has also damaged the windows of several houses.
