Rep. James Patrick McGovern urged State Department demand extradition of perpetrators of the attack on peaceful protesters in Washington.

In a shocking show of violence Turkish government tried to violate our rights, he said during “Stand for Free Speech” event at Sheridan Circle, site of the unprecedented foreign assault against U.S. protesters which hospitalized 9 people.

Congressman said Turkish security employees showed their brutality when faced with people “who disagree with them, those who believe in the reality of Armenian Genocide, the reality of freedom of religion in Turkey, the reality of minority rights”.

“Today we stand for free speech, we exercise of right for peaceful protest,” he said.
