Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that Ankara made the first payment for the Russian S-400 missile system, according to Hürriyet (Liberty) newspaper of Turkey.

“As far as I know, the first payment also was made,” Erdoğan told reporters. “The process will continue with the transfer of a loan to us from Russia. Both I and Mr. [Vladimir] Putin [the Russian president] are resolute on this matter.”
