Spokesman for Armenian President Armen Arzumanyan disclosed new details on the incident involving Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan.

“The Armenian President has  repeatedly  expressed his position on such conduct. This behavior is unacceptable, especially in the case of officials,” he said.

As NEWS.am reported previously, Presidential Press Secretary Armen Arzumanyan had confirmed the press reports that Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan kidnapped and violently beat the employee of protocol department of the Armenian presidential staff Aram Kandayan.

“Unfortunately, the incident did take place. Of course, the Armenian press exaggerated certain facts, in particular there was no kidnapping and violent beating but the incident definitely took place,” he said.
