Iraqi government gave the authorities of the Iraqi Kurdistan three days to hand over control of its airports to avoid international air embargo, Iraqi Prime Minister Heidar Al-Abadi said.

Last week Baghdad asked foreign countries to cancel direct flights to the international airports of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, but Iraq was the only country to cancel the flights to and from Kurdistan, Reuters reported.
