YEREVAN. – Ever since 2004, October 7 is marked in Armenia as Librarian’s Day.

By a government decision, this day formally has been put on the list of professional holidays of the country.

The main objective of the events that are organized on the occasion of Librarian’s Day is, first and foremost, to restore the younger generation’s interest toward books, as main sources of information.
