The US and French Presidents, Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron, had a telephonic conversation.

The White House said in a statement that their talk was about joint counterterrorism operations in Africa, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

“The two leaders discussed joint counterterrorism operations in the Sahel region of Africa to defeat al-Qa’ida and other terrorist groups,” the statement reads, in particular.
