Catalan president Carles Puigdemont stated that that the region will declare independence in case if Spain begins process of suspension of autonomy, Reuters reported quoting a source in the government of Catalonia.

It was noted earlier, the Spanish government is going to suspend the autonomy of Catalonia. The Prime Minister appointed a cabinet meeting on October 20.
