Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expects to deepen  cooperation with China on North Korea issue, TASS reported.

During the negotiations with the Chinese President Xi Jinping, Abe stressed  he counted on Beijing's assistance in the issue of strict compliance with the sanctions that UN Security Council stepped up against North Korea.

Tensions on the Korean Peninsula remain high as North Korea actively develops its nuclear and missile programs, while the US and its allies in the region carry out their military maneuvers.
