U.S. president Donald Trump left the Philippines, without attending the East Asia Summit because of deviation from the schedule of events, Reuters reports.

On board of the plane, Trump announced that he has already discussed his prepared comments with the heads of the countries during the dinner.

U.S. Secretary General Rex Tillerson will substitute Trump at the summit.

The organizers of the meeting deviated from the schedule for approximately 90 minutes
