YEREVAN. – Infrastructure development will lead to poverty reduction in Armenia.

The Minister of Finance, Vardan Aramyan, noted the above-said at Wednesday’s parliamentary debates on the draft of the 2018 State Budget. 

And as case in point, he spoke about the respective projects in the Shirak Province, which has the highest level of poverty in Armenia.

In Aramyan’s words, saving time on transportation will lead to an increase in traffic flow, and new business plans will ensue.

The minister expressed confidence that by doing so, the capital expenditures for infrastructure development will lead to the improvement of the welfare of the population.
