YEREVAN. – Speaking at Wednesday’s parliamentary debates on the draft of the 2018 State Budget of Armenia, Vache Gabrielyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, noted that thanks to the “open skies” policy being implemented in the country, airline ticket prices have reduced and the number of flights has increased in Armenia this year.

“We have already reached the number of last year’s flights,” Gabrielyan added. “We have a 22-percent growth.”

In his words, however, neighboring Georgia has lot more flights due to its population and geographical position, and because it had started the “open skies” policy earlier than Armenia.
